Crystal Rose

Inspired by the stylistic rose beloved of the "Glasgow Style", this tiara began life as a twist of wire in my workbox. I made the rose one day, intending to use it as a brooch or pendant, but it never quite made it. The addition of the single crystal to the centre brought the rose to life and made me think that a tiara with several roses wired around the band could look good. I tried it, and the crystal rose tiara was born. With its art nouveau-inspired wirework, this elegant tiara is contemporary in that it embraces the recent revival in interest in all things "MacIntosh".
